iOS8 WILL ADD RELEVANT APP SHORTCUT TO YOUR LOCK SCREEN BASED ON YOUR LOCATION

 New feature in the upcoming iOS8 will include ability to display relevant app icons directly on your iPhone lock screen based on your location. As you enter or come near the Apple store, Starbucks, Bank of America and other locations, your iPhone will display shortcut of that stores app. You can then download the app quickly without searching the Apple AppStore.

 Apple in iOS7 introduced a feature called "Popular Near Me", which based on your location will provide a list of most popular apps that are downloaded in your area by other users. iOS 8 will take this a step further and provide contextual aspect of suggesting apps that you might not be aware of that are relevant to your exact location.

 Currently this functionality is still in beta and there is still possibilities for chance in the production release. It's also unclear how exactly location based apps are registered for a suggest, most likely you will need to register your app and venue with Apple.
